How to Set Up GSuite for your Email

GSuite is run by the folks over at Google. Their support is awesome and they’ve put together a great platform to facilitate all email needs.

In this article, we’ll show you how to set up an account with GSuite and import your new email to your favorite platform.

Signing up for GSuite

To get started, sign up for GSuite. Currently, the pricing is $5 per user per month. Click here to sign up. Click ‘get started’ and follow the instructions to create your GSuite account.

Contacting GSuite Support

Throughout the setup process, you may need to contact GSuite support. To be able to contact them, go to your admin console (the main page of GSuite when you log in) and click ‘Support’. From there you can chat, email, or talk on the phone (highly recommended) with support.

Importing Emails

Once you’ve followed the steps to get GSuite setup for your email, you have the option to import emails, contacts, and your calendar.

On your admin console inside of GSuite, click the ‘Data Migration’ tool. Follow the instructions (or call support and have them walk you through it) provided to import from your existing platforms.

Now that you’ve got GSuite set up and you’ve imported your existing assets, you’re good to go. I cannot stress enough how easy it is to have GSuite support walk you through the entire process if you get stuck.

New Language Metrics: Contacts, Leads, and Appointments

We have been cursed with the curse of knowledge.

The curse of knowledge is an idea that we do the things we do in our profession so often that the language we use becomes second nature and, in that, we believe that everyone else understands it.

The problem is that not everyone understands our language.

Medical professionals, lawyers, marketing teams…we all have different jargon specific to our industries.

And we want to make our language as simple as possible. So we’ve come up with a plan.

We’ve decided to take our typical marketing funnel and turn it into 3 definitions that will hopefully be universally understandable.

That way no matter what industry you are from, you can understand what we are doing and how we are growing your business. Full transparency.

Here they are:

Contact (previously known as conversion):

The main thing we noticed was that our definitions of a ‘conversion’ were different from other industries. In the marketing field, a conversion is any action taken to reach out to the business (a phone call, form submission, etc.), whereas some industries describe a conversion as a sale. Because of this miscommunication, we want to start calling conversions ‘contacts’.

A contact is anyone who reaches out to the business through a phone call, form submission, live chat, etc.

Lead:

A contact becomes a lead when they show genuine interest in your product or service. This means that only qualified, interested individuals turn into leads. Salespeople, wrong numbers, etc. will never be counted as a lead.

Appointment:

A lead becomes an appointment after they have set an appointment. These are people who have expressed interest and committed to coming to see you. Leads just looking for information or who have the wrong insurance, etc. won’t be counted as appointments.

We hope that these new definitions will eliminate future miscommunications with all clients as well as help you to better understand how we are growing your business.
